Practice Policies

Appointments & Policies 

Sessions with Julia are by appointment only. Standard psychology appointments are 50 minutes in duration. If you are a new client, please let us know when booking so that adequate time can be allocated.

To ensure we can provide the best care and availability for all clients, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled session.


Cancellations & Non-Attendance

We understand that life can be unpredictable. However, late cancellations and missed sessions limit availability for other clients.

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance: no fee.
     
  • Cancellations within 48 hours: 50% of the session fee.
     
  • Cancellations within 24 hours or non-attendance: the full session fee will be charged.
     

This policy allows us to manage Julia’s schedule effectively and ensure fairness for all clients.


Appointment Security for New Clients

To secure your first appointment, card details may be requested. Your card will not be charged unless a late cancellation or non-attendance occurs.


Fees & Payment

Payment is required at the time of your session. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please speak with Julia directly before your session.

Rebates may be available if you are referred under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. Please bring a copy of your referral and plan to your first session.


Confidentiality & Health Information

Your privacy and confidentiality are of the highest importance. All personal information and session notes are managed in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and the APS Code of Ethics. Information will not be shared with third parties without your written consent, except in circumstances where Julia is legally or ethically required to do so (e.g., risk of harm to self or others).


Communication

Julia may be contacted via email or phone during business hours. Please note that email communication is not suitable for urgent or clinical matters. In the event of an emergency, please call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.

Your feedback is always welcome. If you would like to provide feedback or raise a concern, please contact Julia directly.
